In Norway, you have to be patient in the early year, waiting for the snow to melt and the ice to disappear from the roads, to be able to get your vintage car out on the roads with summer tires. This year that day was APRIL 1st.
However, starting the car was an issue, the battery did not feel too well, and some life support had to be given to crank up the engine. I went for a drive, to charge the battery with some nice scenery around me bathing in sunshine.
I had to go to the petrol station, to fill her up. Stopped at the local Shell station, for some premium litres. But starting up again did not work…April Fools! The battery had to come to age, and it was all dead. I went into the station and asked the friendly guy at the desk if he could assist me. “No problem”, he said, jumped out with cables, and took his BMW M5 over to Snow White, to help out. Some 300 hp talking to 211 hp... we talked about our cars, with about the equal kg/hp to deal with, this breath of life, helped me get going again, to drive home and to order a new battery.
Enjoy your drive!
