Another “washing machine”, and out came the Audi A5 in knight white, or something similar! These are my quick stories on occasional rental cars - you never know what shows up…
Great looks! Great quality!
Got this sporty drive on winter tires, crossing Zealand in Denmark on a January frosty day. Drive was not bad at all, perhaps I did not fully like the seats. And the voice controlled navigation did not work at all, at least not trying to get Danish cities…However writing at still-standing or with the letter writing on the screen was not bad at all!
The biggest question, end of the day, became the 4.0 on the back of the car. There was not much of a go or roar from the engine. At least it was not designated for the cylinder volume, which is 2.0 litres. No, opening the hood, it all came as a revelation - aah: we’ve got 4.0 cylinders - no less, no more!
All in all, a pretty neat package. Audi delivers, even though that 4.0 could go away…

It's not 4.0, it's 40. And it's nothing to do with litres or cylinders, it's an entirely arbitrary thing come up with by Audi to denote power bands, something like 25-30-35-40-45-50-55 from lowest to highest. I'm guessing the idea is to have a single system regardless of the type of engine/power source employed, but it certainly confused me when I first encountered it.
